trying to make a career choice. advice needed from encouraging, positive attitudes.?

I am 31 yrs old and have 2 children. NO college education. can only get a job in a convenient store and things of that nature. Im to the point in my life where i want to and need to make a career choice. the problem is deciding which profession. My two choices at the moment are medical assistant and diagnostic medical sonographer. im a little discouraged due to starting out wrong at an early age. i was never good at math and science. although in high school i never really took interest in my studies. Greatly regret it!! Do i have to be good in science or have a love for it to do good in becoming a diagnostic medical sonographer or any part of the medical field. im a little discouraged as to how ill do due to getting off on the wrong foot earlier in age during high school. am constantly doing research to find which areas i can improve in as well as just become knowledgable. am reading more which i never really cared to do. my first step is tofollow the help of a tabe test book.

most colleges have career tests, something to help you decide what best suits your abilities and what you would be happy doing. dont just go for something that you think will make you good money/the right hours for raising a family. look into something that you will LOVE to do for the rest of your life! and heck 31 isnt too old to make a new career for yourself! you’ve lived life and now you know that you’re ready to make the commitment of a proper post secondary education. find out from your community college if you can get a test like that done and that should point you in the right direction.
